Disclaimer

By making a purchase, completing an event registration, or beginning to use this Service, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms of this Disclaimer.

1. Product and Flavor Statement

  • Agricultural Product Variance: Coffee beans are natural agricultural products and are influenced by the origin’s climate, rainfall, and seasonal variations. Flavor, color, bean size, and acidity/sweetness may vary slightly between batches. Descriptions on the website are for reference only.
  • Weight and Packaging: Roasted coffee beans naturally degas and lose weight over time. The shipping weight is based on the net weight indicated on the package label.
  • Subjective Flavor Perception: Coffee flavor (e.g., acidity, bitterness, fruitiness) is a subjective sensory experience. Flavor descriptions on the website are for reference only. Returns or exchanges based on “flavor not meeting personal expectations” will not be accepted.

2. Health and Consumption Safety

  • Physical Condition: Caffeine may affect certain individuals (e.g., pregnant women, those with cardiovascular conditions, or persons sensitive to caffeine). Consumers should assess their own health status before consuming.
  • Storage Responsibility: After the coffee beans are delivered, the Roastery assumes no responsibility for quality deterioration caused by improper storage (e.g., moisture, high temperatures, direct sunlight, or exceeding the optimal taste period).

3. E-Commerce Transactions and Delivery Notices

  • Cooling-Off Period Limitation: In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, freshly roasted coffee beans, drip bags, and custom-ground coffee powders are classified as “perishable goods with a short shelf life or goods that would expire upon contract cancellation.” As such, they are exempt from the 7-day unconditional return policy. Once opened, items cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a product defect (e.g., mold, incorrect item shipped).
  • Shipping and Transit Risks: The Roastery confirms that all products are properly packaged before dispatch. If the coffee beans are compromised or packaging is damaged during logistics transit (e.g., parcel delays at convenience stores, heat exposure, physical compression), the Roastery will assist in filing a claim with the shipping company but assumes no liability for direct damages.
  • Order Confirmation Rights: The Roastery reserves the right to modify product prices, specifications, promotions, and inventory at any time. If an order cannot be fulfilled due to system errors or inventory discrepancies, the Roastery retains the final right to cancel the order or negotiate product substitutions.

4. Experience Activities, Workshops, and Instructional Classes (If Applicable)

  • On-Site Safety: Participants in roasting or brewing experiences must follow on-site instructions. The Roastery assumes no responsibility for burns or property damage resulting from personal negligence when operating high-temperature roasters or hot water. Participants are solely responsible for any injuries to others caused by unauthorized operation, disregard for instructions, or horseplay.
  • Allergy Notification: If the activity involves food tasting or pairing, participants are obligated to disclose their dietary restrictions and allergens in advance. The Roastery assumes no responsibility for any physical discomfort or allergic reactions resulting from failure to disclose.
  • Personal Belongings and Image Rights: Participants are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings during activities. The Roastery is not liable for any loss or damage. Photos and videos taken during activities may be used by the Roastery for commercial marketing and social media documentation. If participants do not wish to appear, they must notify on-site staff in advance.

5. Roasting Experience Workshops and Instructional Classes – Safety Regulations

  • Operational and Equipment Safety: Experience activities involve potentially hazardous equipment, including high-temperature roasters (exceeding 200°C), hot water brewing, and grinders. Participants must strictly comply with instructor guidance and safety regulations. Participants are solely responsible for any legal and medical liability arising from burns, injuries, or property damage to themselves or others caused by unauthorized operation, disregard for instructions, or horseplay.
  • Participant Health and Allergy Notification: Participants should assess their own physical condition (e.g., cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, caffeine allergy or sensitivity) to determine suitability for coffee consumption or physical activities. If the activity includes light snacks or dairy products, participants are obligated to disclose allergens at the time of registration. The Roastery assumes no responsibility for any physical discomfort or allergic reactions resulting from failure to disclose.
  • Personal Belongings and Image Rights: Participants are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings during activities. The Roastery is not liable for any loss or damage. Photos and videos taken during activities may be used by the Roastery for commercial marketing, social media documentation, and portfolio display. If participants do not wish to appear, they must notify on-site staff in advance.

6. Website Information and Intellectual Property Rights

  • Website Information and Links: The content on this website is for general informational purposes only. The Roastery reserves the right to modify product prices, specifications, or terms at any time without individual notice.
  • Intellectual Property Protection: The intellectual property rights to all website content, materials, roasting curve data, instructor handouts, trademarks, and visual designs used in this Service belong exclusively to the Roastery.
